Carlow Town’s new outdoor event space for culture and public experiences in the centre of town. A transformed derelict site, this multipurpose space offers endless possibilities for event organisers, providing an accessible and inclusive focal space for locals and visitors to enjoy.
Collaboratively designed between the general public, cultural and business communities, the development delivers a managed outdoor, versatile event space suitable for Cultural, Economic, Community, and Social Activities.
Proposed experiences include housing weekly food markets & seasonal events supporting local food producers. Hosting community-based organisations and events supported with an online events calendar. Creative projects and health & wellbeing activities will be available along with Carlow County Council’s commissioned events.
Costs
The Basic Model, hire of the Carlow Exchange only, will be a minimum charge model, to facilitate use by community and artistic groups predominately, but also to facilitate commercial activity which will be complementary to, rather than in competition with, local commercial activity.
Community Use: €75 per day
3 Hour Block Rental: €30
Commercial Use: €150 per day
3 Hour Block Rental: €60
